Bookjockey “The lake boils, the waves moo” (2019-2021)
A session of book jockey (BJ) is a DJ set, but with photography books, mixing different works and creating a new story. It's about creating a narrative with photo books, words, and sounds, and the relationships they create between them. The piece is a "landscape" where images sound and words are seen. Three beings from different worlds, different backgrounds, and different "languages," making borders dance and breath flow collectively.
On this project, I collaborated with Laura C. Vela and Miguel Aparicio. We conducted three sessions in total: one at the Conde Duque in Madrid, another at the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Malaga, and another virtual session at the Fiebre Photobook Festival.
