Artistic and collective creation

Artistic creation is one of the pillars of my work, with a special focus on the collective and community creationIn recent years, my practice has been linked not only to the Chinese diaspora, but also to diverse communities, such as the Usera neighborhood of Madrid and the Fort Pienc neighborhood of Barcelona. Throughout my career, I have developed projects focused on the construction of shared artistic experiences, as Crab Pro and Round Table.

Although the performance art has always been my starting point, my practice expands to other disciplines, such as community and transdisciplinary stage creation. I have collaborated with Cultural institutions such as the National Drama Center, Matadero Madrid, and the La Caixa Foundation, exploring new forms of collective artistic expression.

Our project Neighborhood Dramas: Usera We offered a wide range of stories, perspectives, and complexities, reflected on the language of the Chinese diaspora, savored memories, and explored the meeting points and streets of Usera.

Project Slide: A back-and-forth dance (2020-2021) in he National Prado Museum.

I am the artist-educator, in my proposal ethnoeducation and gender, we developed a co-design process for educational resources and digital tools based on the voices and expectations of the seven teachers at IES Vallecas I.

The dynamics of this project is like a back-and-forth dance: making and unmaking identity within and outside the selected works of the Prado Museum and within the school space. School relationships are, ultimately, a coming and going, a giving and receiving, an entering and leaving, a hello and goodbye, a welcome and a farewell…
