Performance art as a tool in social and educational practice: A case study of the Chinese community in Madrid.

Summary
This work focuses on the possibilities of Performance Art in social and educational practice, reaching out to the Chinese community in Madrid through various performance practices and pedagogies. On the one hand, it aims to gain insight into and generate fresh and complex knowledge about the current situations and real needs of the Chinese community in Spanish society.
We analyze the stereotypes and different levels of integration of the Chinese community in the city of Madrid; we learn about the situations of young people from the new generation of Chinese and those in school in Madrid. This is specifically achieved through Performance Art. In other words, the common aspects of performance and happenings, as well as social and educational practices, are truly interrelated and useful.
